Baby's room

So, finally got my camera hooked up to the computer - yeah! So, today is going to be a quick photo session.
Here are some of the pictures of the baby's room. It's pretty much done now, but here is some of how it got that way. I'll put pics of the completed room on a little later.
Quinn & Ben painting away. Thanks you guys - looks great!

Dad admiring his work ...

Here is my drape fabric & my color palette for the room - it's draped across my glider/recliner.

Already?!?

I had another doctor's appointment on Thursday. She said I am not going to make it to my July due date ... I am already 2 cm dilated & 80% effaced! Now I am really nervous & anxious. I get up and go to the bathroom about every 20 minutes to "check" that I am not leaking fluid ... like I wouldn't know! I'm just hoping to make it through Saturday --- just until 4 (after my baby shower!). Watch it won't happen for another 2 weeks ... but, that would be okay.
My crib FINALLY got here --- and it is gorgeous! I love how it fits in the room. Things are finally all falling into place. I feel like the room is almost done - and I just love it. It's so beautiful. And, I love spending time in there. Hopefully Baby Girl will love it too!

P.S. I'm getting a new cable cord for the digital camera (finally), so, hopefully soon we can get some pics in here. Sorry the blog has been so dang boring.

Good day!

Today is a good day. I don't want to croak (yet) ... I was able to sleep last night & I only have a small kink in my back today. Corey and I got our glider/recliner last night. It's so fun to see new additions to the nursery. (Scott - thanks for the muscle!) Paxton isn't quite sure what to think about the "new" room, but I love it. I can't wait to get the crib in there. Hopefully that will come this week - hopefully!
I had another doctor's appointment. For those of you who are keeping track, we are down to weekly appointments now. Scary, huh? Dr. Macy only had good news for me. I am measuring great, baby sounds good & she anticipates ZERO irregularities/trouble with the delivery. She was so reassuring - and I felt really good leaving the office yesterday. I, of course, still have the new mama fears. I mean, why would anyone trust me with a tiny, fragile little baby? - but, my fears about the hospital have been lessened a lot.
Baby girl moves around a lot still. She isn't engaged yet, but she is still head down. It's funny cause whenever people start talking about her I swear she knows it & starts moving around. She mostly flashes us a good shot of her bum, though. She's a fiesty one!

Cute high chair!

I am so excited, because I got my high chair. You know I'm going to be a mom ... who gets excited about a high chair?! It's cute, huh?
I keep hoping that my phone will ring & they will tell me to come pick up my crib. (It was supposed to be here early this week.) It'll be so nice to see the room finally coming together. Mom has just about finished the drapes & they look AWESOME! It's going to be such a beautiful nursery. Not very baby-ish, but just beautiful. I just love it! I still have some decorative painting to do in the room. But, everything is starting to come together. I'm a little more optimistic today that things will be done by the time the wee babe gets here.

Take off your shirt ...

Okay, so I was over at my friend's house the other day. I hadn't been over much during the daylight hours, so her sweet 4 year old boy hadn't seen much of my expanding belly recently. We were asking him if I looked a little chubby, which he said yes to. And, then his mom asked him what I had in my belly. He giggled & answered that it was a "big belly". Well, we finally explained that it was a baby, but you could tell he just wasn't quite getting it. So, his mom went and got a book that showed some illustrations of a mom with the baby in the belly. This cute little boy kept looking at me, then the book, then back at me ... you could see the little wheels spinning. Then he said, "take off your shirt & pull down your pants so I can see the baby".
Oh, the innocence of children. It's probably one of the highlights to my pregnancy. What a cutie!
