This past week I have been in Minneapolis, MN for a business certification class. I can't even tell you how many mixed emotions I had! At first I was really, really nervous to go. But, once I was in the plane getting ready to land I remembered how beautiful it was there. I think I blocked that out - along with lots of other stuff!
I had a hard time sleeping while out there ... my hotel room faced my old office. And I was constantly nervous I would run into people that I didn't want to see. I took the bull by the horns though & went into my old office to get it over with! Over the next couple of days I was able to meet up with some of my old co-workers ... and things went relatively well. In general, things turned out much better than expected.
I got home last night & got the BEST night's sleep! First one in a week.
Funny things that happened this week:
- my boss' boss' boss' boss flipped someone off right in front of me
- my boss (4 up from me) said I was fired
- I was the only young girl in crocs & jeans in the Executive Loung eating a buttload of chocolate chip cookies in my very expensive hotel
- it snowed
What I learned this week:
- Securities Exchange Act of 1933 & 1934
- Investment Act of 1940
- Regulation 15c2-12 governing Secondary Market Disclosure
:)
- I shouldn't go back to MN alone.
- I love my life
... All in all, I am so happy to be home. I missed Corey, Pax, my daily family emails, my friends & my home. I realize how blessed I am to be where I am & to be surrounded by all of you.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Happy Birthday to Corey! I hope he had a great day ...
As we get older, it's weird cause your birthday doesn't mean as much anymore. Corey did a normal work day, we went to dinner with family & friends (thanks guys!) ... and didn't even have a birthday cake. Well, that's coming ... but he didn't want it on his actual birthday. He thought we would eat too much at dinner - boy, was he right!

Sorry Guys!
I know I haven't been very good about blogging lately - and I'm sorry! I'm sure glad you guys still love me though!
Corey & I haven't had a whole lot happen to us lately.
The big news of late is that Corey was just put in as the Elders Quorum President of our ward. He hasn't been too overwhelmed with things yet. He has had one more meeting than usual & maybe a few more phone calls, but he isn't pulling his hair out yet! I'm sure he's doing a great job though.
I think some people might be nervous for their husbands to have this type of a calling, but I honestly have the utmost confidence in him & know he will do a wonderful job.
I'll try to blog next week. Corey & I are off to San Diego this weekend - which should be fun. We haven't made it to Cali for a while now, which is not normal for us. We normally take at least 2 trips a year. So, Chris' wedding is GREAT incentive to get us out on the coast again. We're super excited to see all of Corey's old Michigan buddies. We always have a good time with them! Anyway, hope you are all doing well. Love you all!
