Princess for a day

This day I must admit I was a little tired. After multiple attempts at reading a book, feeding her, Backyardigan's, trying toy after toy ... I finally gave up and just gave Zaida her whole basket of toys to sift through.

Finally a smile!

Before I get reported or a whole bunch of nasty comments - I am and always was fully aware of everything in her basket. The hanger has no sharp edges that could cut or scratch her. The booger-sucker has been washed out thoroughly. And, the medicine bottle & syringe do not have medicine in them. Whew --- I feel better. :)

Zaida finds all sort of toys around the house to entertain herself with ...

the carseat, the electrical outlets, the dog, a bowl of baby food, a brush ...

it's always fun to see what she will come up with next!

Why don't walkers go up stairs?

Zaida loves Paxton. She will often times try to crawl/walk to him. She thinks he is pretty cute. She will try to pet him, step on his toes, or try to give him her snacks.

Back with your friends ...

Zaida LOVES the Backyardigans!!! She will sit so still & quietly while they are on ... except when the opening & closing songs come on. Then she will smile & hum & sometimes wave her hands around. But, here I have captured a couple of her enthralled moments.

Who says being in the car has to be boring?

So, Zaida found some entertainment in the car ... all it took was a juice cup with a straw & one little finger. Guaranteed fun for all! You will even see little specks of this on her cute new shoes ... her face ... and all over the back window, the ceiling, the glove compartment & pretty much every other place in the car. You just can't help but laugh though. If anyone out there has sure fire ways to not laugh while trying to teach your child what is naughty - please let me know!

Here she is acting camera shy ... or maybe she is just teasing her grandpa. She likes to give him a hard time! Zaida also loves his necklace. I think he likes having her so close too ... he can sneak in some kisses on the forehead that way.

Lately Zaida has been a crawling machine! She's figured out how to pull herself up & this day she about gave me a heart attack. But, as you can see she thought it was a neat trick!
